You have prepared for the big day and now you have to begin your packing. Whether you are choosing a hospital or home birth, you will need to have a bag prepared and ready.

Google searches will show a long list of birth supply lists, we have curated a few lists here from local midwifery clinics and hospitals.

If you are choosing a homebirth, your midwifery clinic will provide you with some basic items. The rest of the supplies you will need to gather. Most items, you will likely have already in your home. There is no need to go out and purchase brand new items, second hand or borrowing is fine.

We respectfully acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Nation).

We honor the enduring relationship these Nations have with this land and the waters that sustain it. We recognize their ongoing stewardship, knowledge, and culture, and we are committed to walking in respect, responsibility, and reciprocity as we live and work in their territories.
