FULL CIRCLE BIRTH SUPPORT

*Birth Support category includes prenatal, labor, birth and immediate postpartum support

PRENATAL

Connecting to your body and baby:

Your care includes three prenatal visits with your selected Birth Keeper. These sessions provide dedicated time to build relationship and prepare for your birth experience. Together, we will explore your birth preferences, discuss comfort measures, and review what to expect throughout the phases and stages of labour.

Prenatal visits also offer space for traditional teachings related to pregnancy and birth, grounded in cultural knowledge and community care. Each visit is thoughtfully tailored to your unique needs, values, and birthing goals.

All clients receive access to the Kilila Lending Library, a curated collection of resources on pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and early parenting to further support informed and empowered decision-making

LABOUR AND BIRTH

Entering into the ceremony of birth:

You will receive on-call support beginning at 37 weeks of pregnancy and continuing until the birth of your baby, ensuring consistent availability as you approach labour.

Your Birth Keeper will provide continuous in-person labour support, remaining with you throughout your birthing experience, as well as 1–2 hours of immediate postpartum support to assist with the initial transition, comfort, and early bonding.

Clients also have access to supportive comfort tools, including a birth pool and TENS machine, to enhance pain management and promote a positive birth experience.

POSTPARTUM TRANSITION

Journey into parenthood:

Your care includes one postpartum visit to assess physical recovery, emotional well-being, and overall adjustment during the early postpartum period.

We can provide referrals to trusted local community resources to ensure you remain supported beyond our time together.

Should you require additional postpartum care—such as dedicated postpartum doula support—please speak with your Birth Keeper to discuss options and make appropriate arrangements tailored to your needs.

STAND ALONE SUPPORT

Designed to your specific family needs. Includes areas of lactation, postpartum support and childbirth education

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION

Leaning into knowledge:

Clients may choose between a condensed three-session prenatal course with a certified childbirth educator or a traditional six-week series, depending on their preferences and schedule.

These sessions provide comprehensive preparation for birth and early parenting, with topics including: developing a birth plan, comfort measures, the phases and stages of labour, pain management options, potential challenges and medical interventions, caesarean birth, lactation and infant feeding, and postpartum expectations.

Teachings also incorporate traditional knowledge and cultural perspectives on pregnancy and birth, offering a holistic and grounded approach to preparation.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT- (NO BIRTH SUPPORT REQUIRED/NEEDED)

Support for the fourth trimester:

We offer designated postpartum doula support tailored to your individual needs and family dynamics.
